Kathy Strauss

Photographer, creative coach, artist, and teacher – each of these describes ImageWerks co-founder Kathy Strauss. With over 38 years of design experience, including working as a designer and art director for World Bank and USAID, she brings expertise in design, photography, project management and creative solutions for worldwide regions.

“I am a believer in serving the community – in a capacity where I can voice my opinion & hopefully inspire the organizations & the general public by sharing the value of art & creativity… and letting them know that the arts are important to a community, education, tourism, etc. etc. The value of having a community that embraces the arts thrives.

Strauss is a graduate of Leadership Prince William, Class of 2010 and has served on numerous non-profit boards or advisory councils over the years. She sits on the board of directors for Project Mend-A-House, Prince William Library Foundation, and the management team for the new Washington’s Backyard Artisan Trail management team. She is also the president of the Arches Gallery over at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton.

She received her certification as a Creatively Fit Coach in 2011; this certification dovetails perfectly into her photography, as well as her art. Through her creative classes, she now shares her artist’s view of life.
