Catherine Perchiano Furr comes from a theatrical background in community performances from New York City, where she gained experience on stage and behind stage activities at The Lenox Hill Neighborhood Association. Also while living in New York, she worked and trained with the renowned hair stylist George Michaels in presenting runway fashion events, and today remains an affiliate hairstylist of the George Michaels System. Over the years Catherine has spent many hours/days/weeks designing sets, painting scenery and creating costumes for community performances.
She has been a resident of Prince William County for the past 35 years, and co-owner of a local roofing company. Catherine is the Executive Director for Woodbridge Dance Company, which led her to become a member of the Arts Council over 10 years ago. As a current board member, she is eager to see our arts organizations grow thoughout the county.
